Areas of Focus

Family Immigration

Our top concern from clients is obtaining lawful permanent resident status here in the United States. We will analyze your case to assess your eligibility to legalize your status through family based immigration including, Fiancé Visas as well and Consular Processing cases.

Removal of Conditions

If you are married less than 2 years at the time of obtaining your green card, you will receive a Conditional Permanent Resident (CPR) card. This CPR card will be valid for two years. Before the end of your second year of residency you will need to remove conditions. Our office is happy to assist with both joint removal of conditions and waivers for removal of conditions.

VAWA Self Petitions

VAWA Self Petitions are intended to assist immigrants (men, women and children) who have been victims of domestic violence. Through this self petition it is possible to attain legal permanent residence (LPR). If you or a loved one have been battered or subjected to extreme cruelty by a spouse, parent or child who is a LPR of the United States or a United States Citizen you may be able to file a VAWA self-petition for a green card.  The abusive family member will have no knowledge of the petition and does not need to cooperate in any way.

Adjustment of Status

Adjustment of Status allows a person who meets the qualifications to become a lawful permanent resident to obtain a green card without having to leave the United States. While an application for adjustment of status is pending Applicants can apply for a work permit (I-765) as well as travel permit (I-131). Contact us to discuss if you qualify for adjustment or for an exception.

U and T Visas as well as other forms of relief

If you have been a victim of a qualifying crime (including domestic violence, kidnapping, rape, felonious or sexual assault among others) we can assist you with applying for a U visa to obtain immigration benefits.

Trafficking is a growing issue in the United States, particularly in Houston, Texas where our office is located.  If you’re worried that a friend or loved one is a victim of trafficking contact us to discuss the possibility of obtaining immigration benefits through a T Visa.

Our office also handles Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) cases.

Naturalization and Citizenship

The United States welcomes immigrants from around the world who would like to contribute to making the US the world's greatest nation. We will assist you by establishing your eligibility, filing your application, attending the interview with you until you obtain your oath ceremony notice.

ATTORNEYS

Combining experience, compassion and knowledge in immigration law

Headshot.jpg

My name is Nina Marie Amadi-Ayala, I am the principal attorney at Ayala Immigration Law. As a daughter of an immigrant myself, I have a keen interest in ensuring that individuals’ rights are protected. I understand the importance of having quality representation in matters that may affect my clients’ ability to earn a living or to remain in the country and I am dedicated to advocating for my clients.

I believe that I have found my calling in being an immigration attorney. Being able to help people obtain their dreams of lawfully living here in the United States is very fulfilling. I have been working exclusively in the area of immigration law for the last 8 years. In that time, I have assisted many clients with their immigration matters, filing numerous cases, appearing at interviews as well as representing clients at court hearings.
